Cebu, Philippines
Sydney, Australia
Batam, Indonesia
Hongkong
Singapore

We’ve been in these 5 countries this year. I am indeed a dreamer. I remembered in one of my diaries, I listed down all the countries I wanted to visit this lifetime. We are contemplating on Japan or Europe. But maybe Japan is—-proximity to Asia. Europe is quite pricey , walang Cebu Pacific dun. We have a year to save for it —or maybe less , depending on the coming of our second child. I really wish I could have him/her soon. I could forget Japan.

The reason I loved Batam View Resort is the very serene, non commercial atmosphere it offers.
In short, it’s nothing fancy. I can be myself and commune with nature and not hurt my pocket.
And one more major thing that is unforgettable about the resort—the smiles and the patience of the hotel attendants. If I were to compare to Singapore’s approach to customer service, it would be a 10 vs 1.

Yeah…life is fair- you cannot have it ALL!

I certainly look forward to travel opportunities with my family. This year would be our travel year!

Will also consider Bintan.
By the way, Batam and Bintan are islands of Indonesia close to Singapore waters.

The reason why am considering for this resort is that they have activities designed for kids. Chy would love it!

Dapat maka decide at makapag book na. I need a breather.

you just have to fill yourself with loving thoughts and that includes these beautiful mem’ries to cherish.

Just as you enter Manly. One of Sydney’s seaside destination. It’s a gem, 35 mins away from main city. Beautiful and we are happy.

Next stop is Queen Victoria Building. Stunning architectural work. Grabee..nakakalula.

Hyde Park is a very huge and relaxing. Care for a chat in the park? We had a great time there as a family! I had my cappuccino and Chy had her snack. Dada loved the laid back atmosphere. Peeps actually lay there and just doze off.

The City Hall and St. Mary’s Cathedral is also a rocker. I am so in love with the lovely city.

And the very famous. Sydney Opera House will always be a favorite.
My bro in law told me that the architect who created this dazzling work of art got his inspiration while peeling off oranges. The idea sparkled.

Ayan, di na ako inis. Am fully inspired to travel again. This June in HK, then, next maybe is Japan- it is nagging on my list. But definitely not this year yet or maybe?Come to me, travel money.

I really don’t know how to start to journalize the trip but let me do it now.
Maybe in a form of a photo blog.

@ changi airport:
Departing: Singapore(SIN - Changi Intl Terminal 3) on Fri, 12 Feb 2010, 0700 hrs
Arriving: Sydney(SYD - Kingsford Smith) on Fri, 12 Feb 2010, 1740 hrs
Flight: SQ233 (B777-300ER) Economy Class
This flight was a good buy @SGD2545 for 3!

We were at the airport 2 hours before our flight. Most of the shops were closed ( Lacoste, Gucci) , so not a chance to window shop, so , picture picture.

Got the chance to wear my boots from my US trip. Thanks to the advance internet check in ( tip from Sherman) that we escaped the long queue. SQ as an airline is indeed efficient. And i need to mention the complimentary FOODie , DRinKs and ENTERtainMent.

This is just the kiddie meal.

My first time to drink “Singapore Sling”- definitely yummy.

And marks our Day 0 in Sydney.
But before that happens, it was a long queue to the immigration and another longer one at Customs. Very strict Aussie rules in terms of incoming stuffs. Hence, the milk I brought for Chy was questioned. The officer was very kind enough to give an exemption to me with the warning to declare it next time.

Gracy met us at the airport and to Tonggabbie we go via Central stn.

Hello First Day, its’ our Shell Family Day in Sydney, thank you Agie and Gracy for hosting this event. Isn’t it wonderful? It’s feels like our Shared services days.
From Morning Shift

Till Night Shift well I thought it was dawn shift.

And the star of the night award goes to—— no other, ” Cheyenne” ( very comical that night, blame it to sugar rush) Fun vids posted in youtube and in youtube.

14th February , the next day which by the way was Valentine’s Day was our Day 2 and our first glimpse of the city.

Oh, yeah. the warmth of friends. Happy V-day. Happy Drizzling summer in Sydney!
And I’ve got to cut this off for now, part II soon, time to doze off.

First of all, I was questioned at Sydney’s CUSTOMS office because I was bringing along with me a box of Chy’s formula milk. The officer informed me my kid is not a little baby anymore. I told him that my daughter hasn’t tried any milk before and since we will be staying for 9 days in Sydney, I opted to bring her own brand. He was not convinced at first and later changed his mind that I could bring it along with me with the advise to declare it next time. Oh, thanks God I wasn’t fined for AUD200. I can’t reconcile from the declaration form that such item belongs to the criteria FOOD—-dried, preserved, cooked, uncooked, etc…Anyway, can’t argue with that- he is the officer , am a mere migrant of AU, yes, I can follow CLEAR rules.

Anyway, the MILK now lives in Agie and Gracy’s ref. I should better send them a note to remove it from there. We completely forgot to clear it before we left.

On another note, I warmly thank my humble and kind hearted sponsors—–Agie and Gracy for welcoming us in their home and treat us like family members.

We will back to Australia in due time—–in His time.

the lazy weekend although I was absent from badminton today . I had to let Chy catch up with sleeping time. She has been sleeping late for the past 2 nights for our family movie nights. We watched State of Play Friday night and she was bored so she ended up enjoying her new HP Mini Notebook!. Saturday night was Star Trek . Both were impressive. We had a mid Saturday movie drama, And I love you so, not bad as well. I long for comedy this time, gusto ko nalang tumawa para ma entertain ako, ayaw ko na ng drama, bec I really dont want Chy to get that habit of me crying over movies.

Our luggage is almost ready, I mean 80-90% maybe. Packing was seamless as I had dada take care of his stuffs and Chy’s was easier to decide on. Except that she insisted to bring along her fave Disney tea party toys. We might have a tea party on the plane. Maybe the reason why packing comes in a breeze to me is that I have been used to this since November, from US to PHILS now AUSSIE. I never dreamt/planned any of these travels, so these opportunities comes to me as a GIFT. I will savor every moment of this!

Thanks Lord for the excitement and surprises in this lifetime! Thanks for keeping us SAFE.

Last Saturday after mass, we went out to eat ice cream after dinner. Andersens of Denmark is nicely created- we are surely coming back and grab one of these treat!

Our luck came.
We found the perfect seating for the 3 of us. “Just nice”- as commonly used in Singapore. And quite close to the lavatory. The 7 hour flight may be tiring for Chy. We will pack board games to get busy of.

Obviously, am so excited!

I tried calling the airlines today to do some adjustments with our seat plans. Pls, am praying for a miracle. The customer rep has no choice right now because it seems that the flight is full and there are not much choice in the seats to keep my family seated side by side. Poor Chy.

Now, I have a problem.

Singapore Airlines, hear me!
